Club Description: Health Information Project (HIP) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to empower high school students to tackle the health crises of their generation through a school-based, peer-to-peer, comprehensive health education program. Be a part of the health revolution in your community! HIP empowers high school students to tackle the health crises of their generation. Through interactive peer-led health discussion sessions, multimedia presentations, social marketing and health promotion activities, HIP provides an innovative approach to health education and healthcare access. HIP believes that it is not only important to give students information but to also emphasize the importance of preventive health care and to assist students in accessing health care services in their local community. Since its founding during the 2009-2010 school year, HIP has trained over 12,500 student peer health educators and has taught over 260,000 ninth graders.
Requirements: Applications are only open to current sophomores. HIP is a two-year commitment meaning you will have to be active during both junior and senior year.
